Interesting question… Quite possibly. I would have no appreciation of what it means to be a patient in hospital. I certainly would have not developed the skills I have now! Would it change “who” I am – my wish to help people, my love of cooking and animals (not at the same time!), my innate curiosity… I don’t think so…
I think I need a parallel universe to find that out..

Yes definitely. I think my job has made me grow up quickly and I have been exposed to situations not many twenty odd year olds could deal with. I don’t think this is a bad thing though!

At least a little bit yes. Being a scientist represents certain values to me. It means I am encouraged to be curious, but I must also be cautious. Having a career in science also influences my view on certain political issues that affect scientists. Had I not been a scientist, maybe I would have been less curious, more impulsive, and have different political views. Most of my personalities would remain the same though, because I got them during childhood before I even think about jobs. 🙂
