      Mercury to cure syphilis. Mercury is hella toxic!

      Gosh so many to choose from if you watch Horrible Histories as I do! 😉
      The one that springs to mind is a “cure” for the Plague (Black Death) – plucking a live chicken’s bottom then strapping it to your boils! Don’t suppose the chicken enjoyed it much, do you?!
