  I was an undergraduate quite some years ago! At first: terrifying! You stand in front of 170 people and speak to them about a topic you know a little about. Something similar to having to stand up in class and give a presentation, where everyone is watching you.
  After a while, you settle down and it becomes quite fun. In their first year, I tend to hold my students hand a bit but by their third, I treat them as a professional equal – that is what I there for: to train the next generation of scientists!
