0 Question: Why does skin go wrinkly as you age? Keywords: age, human body Asked by anon-225175 to Paul, Natalie on 19 Nov 2019.
Paul Laurance-Young answered on 19 Nov 2019:
There’s a protein in your skin called collagen, specifically elastin, which is manufactured less as you age. Less elastin means your skin doesn’t stretch and rebound as well as it used to and so you become wrinkly.
