There is too much scientific evidence to just dismiss it’s happening. But we are so reliant on plastics and fossil fuels which release huge amounts of CO2. Even renewable energy has it’s drawbacks. Solar cell are unfriendly to produce. Wind farms can look unsightly (I think they look cool).
Can we kick the fossil fuel addiction? There is a finite amount of it so the next question is can we find a suitable alternative before we run out?
Fortunately it is one of the hottest fields of science at the moment.

Think climate change is very real and happening. It has happened before (there is evidence in rocks and the fossil record) but is happening faster because of the actions of humans – just look how fast glaciers are melting.
We can and should do more to minimise our impact on climate change because of emissions

That it’s real and it’s frightening, just as much so as antimicrobial resistance. I believe that it’s causing, or at least contributing to, the increase in natural disasters we keep seeing on the news. Personally, I think summers are generally hotter than they were when I was younger (some time last century!!) and that is almost certainly as a result of climate change. I just hope that our clever atmospheric science colleagues can come up with a revolutionary solution to this threat.
