This can honestly vary depending on what I have to do, what I have yet to do and how much coffee I have consumed. Personally I like the very first thing in the morning: It’s just me in the building, I have no distractions and I can get an awful lot done before the rest of the team arrive and we get properly going.
This is a hard question! My days are so different that good things can happen at random times. My favourite thing is when a patient gets to go home after they have got better, seeing them and their relatives happy to be going home together gives me a real warm fuzzy feeling.
My day is so varied, I don’t tend to have a favourite part. Each hour can bring a new challenge, some really interesting, some really boring, but that’s how my day is made up.
Having said all that, I do love my job but like many other people, I do also enjoy going home and being with my family.
6:00-6:30 a.m., to be precise! A bit of “me” time before the kids wake up and the mania ensues! I sit and watch BBC breakfast news with a cup of tea and a cup of coffee (in that order) so I know what’s going on in the world before I start ironing school shirts! I’m a creature of habit and like routines!
My favourite thing to do in my job is programming. So my favourite part of the day is when I can just sit and code away without distractions, especially if the code is working! These “coding sprees” usually last 1-2 hours at a time, and I normally find the time later in the afternoon or evening. 🙂
