Question: what chemical experiments have you done?

Oh gosh! Too many to list here! I started doing experiments way back last century at school! I did them every year during my degree, and now I teach the next generation in the labs so it’s an ongoing thing. My undergraduate project was pretty cool though – my project mates and I devised a way of purging equine blood with carbon monoxide and then measuring the absorbance using a UV-Vis spectrometer. We created a calibration curve so that we could put any sample in the spectrometer and calculate the percentage of carboxyhaemoglobin present 🙂
