• Question: Is there any way to prevent getting grey hairs and if you already do have some then can they turn back to the original colour? -don’t worry I don’t have grey hairs I’m just asking.

Sadly no, the grey is caused by hair follicles without the melanin pigment. Those pigment cells die and are not replaced. So once the grey starts, it’s going to spread, it just depends on genes as to how quickly. I teach a young lady who is 20 and grey already for example (doesn’t bother her, she is rocking the silver look!)!

Maybe this could be the focus of your scientific discovery! At the minute there is no way to regenerate the dead pigment cells, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be reversed in the future. I think beauty and hair is a big part of society and so I could definitely see this being explored.
