We estimate around 1-2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe. This number is a very rough guess since we have no way to actually count them. However, assuming the universe continues to expand rapidly the galaxies will move apart from each other, and someday we will see light only from our closest galactic neighbours. This is like billion of years into the future though!
