Oh yes! I not only see a lot of blood but I have ended up covered in it before too! I run blood clotting profiles so see a lot of it in tubes, and we use haemofilters that draw the blood out of the body and clean it. This acts as a kidney when the patients are failing. The blood in a haemofilter goes round and round the tubes and pumps. I love watching this!

I quite regularly see a lot of blood, especially in the dissection room. Best one was a pathologist poking a large cyst with a knife and a stream of blood erupted out and shot over her left shoulder. A lucky escape there, they normally wind up covered in the stuff!
