In theory yes. In practice, to create something as complex as a human being or even a frog is a mammoth (ha!) task. I seem to recall reading a while ago that scientists had made an artificial bacteria..
I suppose that this could be done in labs, and would be a very difficult process. Hopefully as technology progresses we will be able to find an easier way to do this – we could analyse and examine the behaviours of various different extinct animals!
Now that opens an even more interesting chain of thought: Animal behaviour – what is dictated by genetics and what is developed by their environment..?
